Over the Winter at Eltham Bowling Club
A message from the secretary Rob Raine:
I hope you are all well and wintered safely. Whilst you have been hibernating many others have been working hard on your behalf:
- Alan Wood and the Maintenance Team have been working to improve the green as well as project manage the new sprinkler system which is now operational.
- David Willis has been upgrading the electrics and heating to ensure you have the best facilities.
- Doug Grovenor and Dave Sapsford have been purchasing and installing a new glasswasher in the bar.
- Elsewhere, thanks goes to the efforts of others who have been gardening, painting, arranging sponsorship and fundraising lunches and generally giving time and effort to ensure you have the best facilities for the start of the new season.
It demonstrates the kindness and efforts people are willing to make to ensure you have an excellent bowls club and also the community spirit we have built together and the values of its members. It's not just a place for sport but also a community that cares for each other.
